I think this title for my new blog on the Dream Castle Quilt Studio site is appropriate because it seems like I always have more quilts in my head ( and in shoeboxes) than I could ever finish in my lifetime!!

Setting up the new studio and organizing my fabric and books for packing up to move over to the new studio seems to be taking up all of my time and energy.

In addition to setting up the new studio, on Friday we met with the house design group to finalize plans for the Queen Street home.

So very little quilting was finished this week. Hopefully I can get back into gear and get something done this coming week.

This week I will be packing up my Long Arm supplies and taking the machine apart in preparation for the move. I’m so excited to be setting it up in the new studio space.

Of course I’ll also be bringing all of my books, threads, and rulers. There are three tubs full of quilts that need to be finished, some of mine and some for our charity projects.

The studio will be open for visitors most afternoons, when I’m in town. And I’ll try to put up a notice on this website.

Progress has been made on our Queen Street house. We have designs that need to be presented to the Historical Commission. Then we can connect with a builder and get the heating/cooling systems updated. We are adding both Geo Thermal and Solar to make the home as energy efficient as possible.
