The Ives color wheel is used in the world of fabric manufacturing and fabric dyeing, making it the most appropriate one for quilt makers to use. Joen Wolfrom created the 3-1 Color wheel based on the Ives color wheel.  In class you will get directions on how to create a small quilt with the Sister’s Choice block.

QUILTING ON THE CURVE

The Sunrise – Sunset quilt is made using  the traditional New York Beauty Blocks with a unique paper foundation technique. You sew next to the paper not through it. Easy, no need to tear away the paper at the end. Pretty machine embroidery stitches are used to sew down the inner arc, and eased curves help sew in the outer arc. A lot of new techniques to learn in this class.
