Quilt Dreams

January 5, 2025

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and Happy New Year!

We had time to visit with both of our kids and their partners at our VA home.

And now, it feels wonderful to finally be settled in my new studio space in Chestertown. Things are well organized and the lighting is good. Stop by to see what’s under my needle.

This month, I started a new bee for the Olde Kent Quilters,  here in Kent county MD. Our focus will be on Scrap Quilts and ways to use up our stashes. I was pleasantly surprised at how many other guild members are interested and we had 12 at our first meeting! We plan to meet on the First Friday’s each month in the mornings.

This group is open to any member of the OKQG guild, if you’re interested please contact me.

Some time ago I wrote down the names of my UFOs and put a slip of paper with each project into a tin.

This past year I did complete a few projects, but not nearly enough. So of course, for the New Year 2025, I am determined to get more UFOs out of the box.  Today I pulled out a slip from my trusty tin. It reads  Jelly Bean Quilt. Carefully smashed into a plastic container I found fabric, and a pattern in a magazine.

So…I’m itching to get started!
