We have been so busy…selling our house in Afton, and renovating our home in Chestertown, that I’ve had little time to sew.
But I’m getting excited about some upcoming events.
The Chestertown River Arts Gala will be held August 2, and I have a great idea for a Re!imagined Runway ensemble. I’ll be partnering with another quilter Christine Kamon, and we plan to have lots of fun. Be sure to visit the River Arts website for more information and to reserve your tickets. https://www.ctownra.org/events

In addition, I am curating the Wonderful Wearables exhibit at the Chestertown River Arts Gallery in August. This exhibit will feature local Fiber Artists and Jewelers, and any other artist who can create a wearable item using their preferred medium. The only rule is it must be something that can be worn…think jackets, vests, skirts, hats, gloves, bags, scarves, belts, jewelry. Be creative, but nothing offensive, please.
To help artists get started, I’m offering a Wonderful Wearables Class on two days. Friday, May 16 and Friday June 20. These will be all day classes 10:00 -3:00 held at Dream Castle Quilt Studio.
Information on how to enter an item in this Wonderful Wearables exhibit and on these two classes visit the Chestertown River Arts Website.
