April 3, 2023

We have been so busy. In February we travelled to Tahiti, enjoying a 10 day cruise around the Pacific Islands. Our ship was the Wind Spirit, this ship is outfitted with huge sails, that indeed can be used to sail the ship. But on this trip they were mostly just raised ceremonially as we left port. It was a beautiful trip, we got to relax, enjoy the daily fun activities, and eat great food at dinner each evening.

In Mid March, my husband, Tom Dietz (the photographer) fell and broke a bone in his tibia. He has been on crutches and wheelchair since. He finally gets to start putting some weight on his leg this week, and hopes to regain some mobility.

Our beautiful and talented daughter, Kelly and her wonderful partner Rich are planning to be married on July 1, 2023. So we hosted a Bridal Shower for her on March 25. We celebrated with family and friends in the Studio and many were able to join in via Zoom. It was fun to get everyone together before the big day, which is coming up fast!
I am busy working on a wedding quilt for the new couple. It is a secret so I am unable to post any photos…until after they get it.

I did manage to squeeze in a little time to get the October strips finished on the Temperature Quilt. It felt good to move this one along.
Now that the website is finally up and running, I hope to be posting more often, so be sure to check in and follow Dream Castle Quilt Studio on Facebook.
